In terms of energy and climate, the Normandy-Maine Park has often been ahead of the national policies. Leader of an ATEnEE contract (Actions Territoriale pour l'Environnement et l'Efficacité Energétique) from 2006 to 2010 and initiator of an experimental programme on the adaptation of farms to climate change from 2012 to 2018. In 2015, it also accompanied communities on the territory to encourage them to become "Energy Transition Territories."
